The Vikings are one of the original teams in RFAC, established in 1995. This is the Vikings team number 28!
The Vikings have been Rocket Bowl Champions 9 times, 1998, 1999, 2003, 2005, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. The Vikings have a strong group of coaches who desire to make better people and in the process we make better football players. Our coaches have a combined 80 years of coaching experience in RFAC. Each year we focus on growing personal integrity and responsibility within the framework of our team. One of the ways we accomplish this task is every practice we take 10-15 minutes during a water break to teach life lessons. Last year we went through "Mental Toughness" based on the life of David. Previous years we have covered Mentor Leadership, The Five Marks of a Man and The Behavioral Cycle. Rocket Football and Cheer encourages us to grow the players physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually! One of our team traditions is the "Earl" Jersey. A player wore a jersey with the name "Earl" on the back to practice in 2005 during our Rocket Bowl season. At the end of the season the player handed it down to the next leader on our team. Each year the "Earl" Jersey player picks the next "Earl" Jersey award winner. It's a great tradition, the video of one of our “Earl” Jersey honorees is below!
